Urban Tree Monitoring Research Internships – Chicago, IL and Philadelphia, PA

The UTGL Working Group is searching for two students to work on paid summer research internships/ fellowships. The students will work together on a mentored research project pilot testing the Urban Tree Monitoring protocols in Chicago, IL and Philadelphia, PA. This research will involve contributing to the study design, field work, evaluation of citizen science tree data, and presenting results.

The two students will be co-mentored by Lara Roman (USDA-Forest Service) and Bryant Scharenbroch (The Morton Arboretum). One student will work at The Morton Arboretum and the other at the USDA Forest Service Philadelphia Field Station. The Morton Arboretum is accepting undergraduate applicants only, while the Philadelphia Field Station is accepting undergraduate or graduate students.
